In addition to temperature control equipment such as freezers used in injection molding machines, plastic extruders also use some extruders for special chillers, such as granulators, pelletizers, pipe extrusion equipment, wire extruders, etc., and their manufacturing process emits a lot of heat in a short time.

The use of freezer water circulation refrigeration, control the rear cooling temperature of the extruder within a certain range, can protect the machine and improve product quality. 

The molded plastic extrusion cladding should be cooled and shaped immediately after leaving the machine head, otherwise it will be deformed under the action of gravity. 

The cooling method usually adopts water cooling, and according to the different water temperature, it is divided into quenching and slow cooling. 

Quenching is direct cooling of cold water, quenching is beneficial to the shaping of plastic extrusion cladding, but for crystalline polymers, due to sudden heat cooling, it is easy to leave internal stress inside the extruded cladding tissue, resulting in cracks during use, and the general PVC plastic layer adopts quenching.

 Slow cooling is to reduce the internal stress of the product, in the cooling water tank to place water of different temperatures in sections, so that the product gradually cools down and shapes, the extrusion of PE, PP is carried out by slow cooling, that is, after hot water, warm water, cold water three stages of cooling.

How many degrees temperature is set in the extruder chiller?

If the production requirements are not high, only the constant temperature cooling water 30-50 °C is required, and there is no need to use chillers, cooling water towers or cooling pools to cool the circulating water to meet it. 

Some use temperatures are preferably 10-15 degrees.

How to choose the granulation extruder freezer? 

Many customers of extrusion production do not know how to choose a chiller, usually we can start from the following aspects of data:

 ●open sink extruder, chiller to choose shell and tube evaporator, so that water can circulate, of course, there will be some more special situations, which depends on the site situation; 

●The size of the extruder (that is, the amount of extrusion per hour),
